Whitetail Ridge Golf Club
Whitetail Ridge Golf Club opened in the summer of 2007. At the time, Kendall County, Illinois was the second fastest growing county in the United States. Whitetail Ridge owners, Ron & Dave Walker, contracted Eagle Golf to manage their property in the first quarter of 2008, just as the economic slowdown started to take hold. 2008 brought moderate success to Whitetail Ridge with just shy of 27,000 rounds of golf played, total revenues of nearly $2,000,000 and a net operating income of slightly more than $400,000.
The following year, Whitetail Ridge gained momentum even while the real estate market and the area’s economy continued to struggle. Rounds increased by more than 11% with total revenues growing by more than 10%. In 2009, Eagle Golf produced an NOI percentage of 26.4% compared to the 20.9% mark in 2008. Payroll percentage fell by nearly 4 points as the bottom line grew by $158,000. Even greater success came in 2010 with another 5.8% growth in rounds and a 12.5% growth in total revenue compared to prior year. In the course of just 2 years, Eagle Golf had grown the food & beverage operation by nearly 50%. $822,404 in food & beverage revenue in 2008 jumped to $1,220,843 by 2010. The year closed with another enormous increase in profitability as net operating income percentage finished above 30% for the first time in the club’s short history.
